Gwen Jacobs is a graduate of the University of Tampa, cum laude, and Florida State University College of Law, magna cum laude. She has represented insurance carriers and employers in the area of workers’ compensation defense litigation for the past 25 years and is certified by the Florida Department of Insurance as an instructor in workers’ compensation. She is a member of The Florida Bar, The Hillsborough County Bar Association, as well as the Workers’ Compensation Section of each bar association.
Gwen has vast experience in workers compensation litigation including taking and defending depositions of fact witnesses and experts, negotiating settlements, defending cases to final hearing and when appropriate appeals before the 1st District Court of Appeals. She takes a proactive and aggressive approach to handling cases to obtain the most cost effective and favorable outcome for her clients. Gwen believes working alongside claims professionals, employer representatives and nurse case managers is invaluable in developing a successful litigation strategy for trial or settlement.
